It’s been a while since we updated on the progress of our Primary School Extension. Work has continued on well in spite of constant temperatures near 43 degrees Celsius (110 degrees F). The first floor is mostly completed and is currently getting a coat of paint ready to be used in July when students return from Summer Break.

This week we want to celebrate a major milestone with the pouring of the roof. Just a mere four months since our Orphan School campaign ended on Indiegogo, we just finished spreading tons of cement by hand, completing the final structural piece to our project. External plastering still remain as well as first floor walls and windows, but the basic building frame is complete, a long-standing dream come true for us.

We are so appreciative of everyone who has helped to make this dream a reality. There is still a lot of work to be done but we have really made some ground and that is something to celebrate!
