Foot And Mouth Disease In Our Dairy

Saturday, 09 January 2010 18:29

Disaster has struck! Several of our cows have contracted foot and mouth disease; it is a terrible highly contagious disease that causes a lot of pain and discomfort for the animal effected -it can even lead to death! Sadly there is nothing we can do as quarantining the infected animals from the rest of our herd is too late. We are treating them and will treat any others that are effected along the way. There is little if any danger of it spreading outside our herd to other animals as our dairy is quite remote.
