A Mission That Has Grown With The Community
The Good Shepherd Agricultural Mission was founded in 1948 on a piece of jungle land in northern India. Over the decades, both the Mission and the surrounding community have grown side by side.
While the organization once operated as an orphanage, our work today is very different. We now focus on supporting children from low socio-economic backgrounds through family-connected residential care, quality education, practical skills development, and community support programs.
What began as a single project has grown into a diverse campus that includes children’s homes, Maxton Strong School, a working farm, animal rescue services, disaster relief operations, and higher education opportunities through Mission University.
